Hi I'm Jill

I'm an only girl with 6 older brothers. I'm a wife and mother of 2. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read, shop, bake, and work on crafts. I love the holiday's and enjoy creating traditions and memories with my children. I love watching sports and cheering on my favorite sport's team. I love being outside and enjoying this beautiful world our Father in heaven created for us. I love being able to be at home with my children and try to embrace the challenges that presents. Not every day is perfect, but it's worth it. I love my husband and am so lucky to have found such a wonderful friend and person to love. I am stubborn, spunky, and goofy. I am a daughter of God.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was brought up in a Mormon family I didn't always embrace my family's faith. Being so stubborn I had to decide for myself what to believe. Living my life without the gospel was lonely and empty. I couldn't seem to find peace or direction. Once I started going to church again, studying the scriptures, and praying I was able to find my own testimony. I realized I'd always had the answers I was looking for. It scares me to think of who and where I would be if I hadn't found my testimony. I know Heavenly Father lives and loves us. I know Jesus Christ is our Savior. I know He came to this earth and provided a way for us to return to live with Him again. I know He lives. I know that I can be with my family forever.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a part of every day life. It is part of who I am, not just a Sunday thing. I try to serve others in need by bringing over a warm meal or a hug. I try to share Christ's love with everyone. I love being able to meet with other members of my church and learn about Christ and His plan for us. It's good to know we are a family and can depend on and trust one another. It's great to be able to meet with other women and share our frustrations, triumphs, and testimonies.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Jill
While going to college I took an anatomy class with a cadaver lab. After taking this class I had no doubt whatsoever about the existence of God. Our bodies are such a marvelous and miraculous creation. Each part is so intricate and delicate. Each part contributes to fulfill a purpose. This was not a matter of chance. A greater being designed our bodies after His own image and gave us these bodies to experience life. I'm so thankful I can walk, run, and jump. I can hug my children, thread a needle, and build a fort. I can go outside and feel the sunshine and cool breeze on my skin. I can splash in the cool water and look at the beautiful flowers. I can hear the birds singing and enjoy this beautiful world. I am so thankful for my body although I don't always appreciate it and am thankful for a Father in heaven who loved us enough to create them. Show more Show less
