Hi I'm James

I moved all over the U.S. growing up because my dad was in the military. I recruit, train and manage sales teams. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hard work, positive attitude, love to learn. I love cars, music, guns and being successful. I love my family.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has been a good example of good people. My father is an honest, hard worker. My mother has always taught me to never settle for anything but the best and to achieve my goals, no matter the price. I stopped living many of the standards I was taught when I was around the age of 16. Eventually I found myself unhappy, but I always remembered the happiness I saw my parents had and remembered specifically my father's testimony of the Book of Mormon and how he knew Joseph Smith was a true prophet. I moved back home when I was 19 to get back on my feet and started focusing on working to help pay for a mission. I became involved with my singles ward, making good friends who supported the positive changes I was making. As I was reading the Book of Mormon from start to 3 Nephi 11 I recalled my father's testimony, that he knew it was a true record of Jesus Christ's ministry in the American continent. I also desired to know if it was true so I reflected on what I had read and knelt by my bed to ask God if it were so. In that moment, a witness did come by the power of the Holy Ghost. That witness is evidence of the truthfulness of the restoration of the gospel through the prophet Joseph Smith. My testimony helped me have conviction when sharing this message to the people in Mexico on my mission and to others who I meet along my path in life. Even when I stray from the principles I know to be true, this spiritual knowledge helps me to repent and grow closer to my Heavenly Father, overcoming challenges along the way.

How I live my faith

I try to live the golden rule. I attend church on Sundays, family night on Mondays and religion class on Wednesdays. Although not perfectly, I read my scriptures and pray daily for guidance. I am honest. I do not steal or litter. I spend my time and money helping those in need. I share my talents of leadership and music. I honor my father and mother. I use clean uplifting language. I share my beliefs with others who want to know.
