Hi I'm Kristi Veralrud

I am a native of Arizona and have lived here my entire life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family and I love being a mother. I am a wife and a mother of five beautiful daughters, including the youngest who are identical twins. I very much enjoy being a mother. This year they will all be teenagers ranging from 13 to 19. I am the middle of seven children and was blessed with two great parents. My wonderful dad passed away January 9, 2011. That was very hard for me and all of our family. I have faith that I will see him again. My favorite hobby is gardening. Right now I have quite a good size garden growing. I love to grow things and to learn everything about each plant. I am thankful to live in this area for I can grow plants all year. I love to paint wood crafts, especially birdhouses. I have written poetry since I was a young teenager. I love to read and thankful for great writers. I enjoy blogging. I love to ride my bicycle and walk. I walk to the Mesa, Arizona Temple often for it is only a mile away from my home. I am a Certified Nursing Assistant as of last year and got a job as a CNA taking care of people in their homes that have various conditions. It is not always easy since it is easy to get attached and one patient fell and went to a home and another died of cancer.

Why I am a Mormon

I would have it no other way. I have a testimony of the gospel. I love the Savior, Jesus Christ, and thankful for Heavenly Father's love for me. I grew up in the church and I felt ever since I was little that I knew the Church was true. Yet when I read the Book of Mormon for the first time I had such an overwhelming testimony of the church. I am thankful to be who I am and to be a member. I feel strengthened when I what I am taught.

How I live my faith

I love to attend church. I love to go visiting teaching. As visiting teachers we visit and serve and share a message with women in the ward. I love my ward and love to get to know members. I have served in different positions and have learned and grew with each one. I have taught the youth; the 12 and 13 year old girls; I have helped in various activities; taught the 10 year old children and served in other positions that have blessed my life. I spend a lot of time with family history work. I also live my faith by praying each day and reading the scriptures, mostly the Book of Mormon, each morning before I do anything else. Right now I am serving in the ward as a Indexing Specialist, and the Relief Society Birthday Specialist. I am also on the Stake Activities committee and I just got asked to be in a committee for a Stake Relief Society Conference. I also sing in the ward choir and stake for Stake Conferences. I love being able to serve. I bear my testimony often. In our church once a month we have a fast and testimony meeting. Various members go up to the podium and share their testimony of what we believe in.
