Hi I'm Kaitlin

I'm a wife who loves to read, travel, play sports, and eat cookies (and the dough!). I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the seventh of nine children. I grew up in Northern Virginia, right outside of Washington D.C. I spent most of my childhood playing soccer and spending time with my family. I graduated from BYU, and am now living in beautiful California with my husband. I am working on becoming a Child Life Specialist.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a strong Mormon family. Yet, I still had to go through the process of finding out for myself if the church was true. I did not have any huge manifestations or one single culminating event, but my testimony grew over time. It is the result of small and simple things: studying the scriptures, praying, and living the gospel. The teachings of the church have increased my faith in Jesus Christ, provided knowledge of God's plan for me, and make me a better person. The Spirit has testified to me that the gospel is true. I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. This knowledge blesses my life each day.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others both in and outside of church. I volunteer at a local children’s hospital each week where I get to play with patients in the playroom. I also teach the 3-4 year old children each week at church. I live my faith by trying to be positive each day and being kind/loving to everyone I have contact with. I live my faith by following Christ’s teachings and striving to become more like him. I am not perfect, but I am always trying to improve.
