Hi I'm Dane

I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 26 years old. I was married in 2007. My wife and I had our first child four years later, a boy we named Lyon, and who we love dearly. I am very happy. God has blessed me with health, freedom, and an education. He has blessed me with work to provide for my wonderful family, to keep a roof over our heads and to keep food on our table.

Why I am a Mormon

I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that He atoned for my mistakes, and made it possible for me to live with my family forever. To express my gratitude, and best serve Jesus, I want to be a member of His church. I know that I am a member of the true church of Jesus Christ because I asked God if The Book of Mormon is true. He has given me an answer I can never deny. I know that The Book of Mormon is a true book, written by ancient prophets of God and preserved to be the tangible evidence of a true prophet today. So I'm a Mormon, because that's what being a member of the true church of Jesus Christ makes me. In His church, I can draw more near unto Him than I could anywhere else.

How I live my faith

I commute into Phoenix Monday - Friday. I make the traffic bearable by listening to great books. On Saturdays I do yard work, play soccer and take my dog hiking. But Sundays are my favorite day of the week. Yes, I watch football, but I also teach the 10 and 11 year old's in our community about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This year we are focusing our study on the New Testament. Our lessons have included the accounts of Lazarus being raised from the dead, Simon of Cyrene helping Jesus to carry His cross, and the miraculous conversion of the Apostle Paul. It is such a joy and a privilege to be the first person to teach these children of God such important and inspiring lessons of faith and love.
