Hi I'm Amber

I love my family! I am grateful to be sealed for all eternity to them. I love sewing and crafts. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am comfortable just being me. I love life. I have a really great husband. We love to ride his motorcycle around whenever we get a chance. Which doesn't come around as much now that we have a son. We enjoy just hanging out and watching our son learn everyday. I am the youngest of three. I grew up with two older brothers and was raised by a single hard working mom. I am very thankful for her everyday. I went to college and received my Bachelors in elementary education. I am the first person to go to and finish college in my family. I love making crafts, sewing and just being with my son and our dog!

Why I am a Mormon

I am blessed so much by Heavenly Father! He blessed me with a man that loves me as much as he loves God. I'm glad I can go to church and not have to hear about bad things other churches are doing. I can go and feel peace, it is a great way to start off the week. I know that Heavenly Father loves all of us. We are all his spirit children. It means a lot that He would even care about the lilies as described in Matthew 6. If He would care about something like a flower I know he cares for all of us. He wants us to make right choices. I was asked once "does the church choose you or do you choose the church?" I was able to tell him that I chose the church. When I was younger (13) I decided I didn't want to go because someone hurt my feelings. Six years later I went back, completely on my own. I was evaluating my life and know that some things needed to change, I just wasn't very happy. I wanted to get sealed in a temple for all eternity. I came back, I chose the church. I chose to live high standards. I want to make Heavenly Father happy. You always love your children. But its a lot easier to love them when they are making good choices. When you are making choices based on faith and not based on worldly things life gets better and much happier!

How I live my faith

I have been given different opportunities to serve in different areas. Right now I am helping with planning activities with the other women in my ward. I also get the opportunity to our ward bulletin boards and program every Sunday. I have worked with the young women at the church building I go to. They range from ages 12 to 18, it was great to watch them grow and even to watch them struggle so they can learn from it. I also get to visit other women and get to take a message to them. It helps me be able to get to know people. It give me an opportunity to reach out and help others if I know they are in need. I am able to show that I care for them. I have also taught the younger kids. I have worked with three year olds a couple of times and I have worked with four and five year olds. I hope that I have helped all the children I have taught grow and learn to always try to help others in their times of need. I really try to just be the best person that I can be. I faulter at times. Which is why I'm thankful for the atonement. I love erasers. I try to be a good example to others. I want to be that person that is "the nicest person" or "she is always willing to help when she is needed" I still have a lot of growing to do. But maybe someday someone will say "she has something special about her!"
