Hi I'm John

I'm Tall, an advent martial artists, I still loves watching cartoons and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was Born on the Beautiful Island of Oahu Hawaii and I love eating. I've been studying martial arts since i was 6 years old and aspire to be a grand master one day. I take great pleasure in serving others and helping those that are in need of comfort. I served as a missionary in Tokyo Japan from march 2009 to march 2011 and in a few months I'll leave for school to study to become a doctor.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a family that taught me correct gospel principles from a small age. I don't think I ever doubted what my parents taught me to be true, but I have had many opportunities where my faith was confirmed and my testimony strengthened. Most of these times it is not some big event or miracle but it comes from something as simple as reading my scriptures and praying to my heavenly father morning and night, as I continue to do these things the spirit of God comes to my soul and continually testifies that what I'm reading and learning about is true, and I cannot and will not deny my feelings. I know for my self that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that God is our loving heavenly father. They did restore their one true church through the prophet Joseph Smith and I thank God everyday that I'm a member of His church.

How I live my faith

I find the most satisfying way to live my faith is to do the basics, as a missionary I taught people that they need to read the scriptures, pray daily and attend church in order gain a testimony. In order for me to keep me to keep my testimony I need to do the same, and no matter how busy I get, I know my day is always way better when I do these things. Lastly Its not only what I do to strengthen myself but what I do to strengthen others, I try to live my life following the Saviors example by helping those around me, either by doing small acts of kindness to helping them with big projects I get the most satisfaction when I'm out there helping God's children.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

As members of the church we believe in the true great commandments that Jesus taught, first love the Lord God with all of your heart and second love thy neighbor as thyself. So we believe in helping all people and not just those of our faith. I personally have spend hundreds upon hundreds of hours helping people move, cleaning up flood damaged areas, cleaning and building parks and visiting the homeless and the needy, most of which where not of my faith.
