Hi I'm Ashley

I'm a wife, I'm a mother, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the youngest of five children. I was the first person in my family to graduate from College. While at college I met my husband. We live in Arizona and we have one son and another baby on the way. I work from home from time to time but most importanly I'm a wife and a mother. I spend my days playing with my son, watching him grow, and teaching him. When I'm not cleaning, grocery shopping, picking up toys, or chasing my son around I try and do things that I enjoy. I like to read, search for fashionable clothes, decorate my house, relax, and listen to good music.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up being Mormon. When I was in high school I was surrounded by a lot of temptations and bad influences. That is when I decided for myself that I needed to know if the church was true. I'm a Mormon because I have been on my knees and prayed to my Heavenly Father and asked Him if the church is true and I received an answer. I'm a Mormon because it bring me joy. I would not be where I am today with the church in my life. Sometimes when I'm going through really difficult personal struggles and it seems like I really cannot take on anymore I feel God in my presence and I know that He loves me. I know the Book of Mormon is true because I have read it. I know that my Savior lives and died for me. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that he received revelation from Heavenly Father to restore the Gospel. I know that with all my heart. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the prophet today and that he guides this church. I'm thankful for the knowledge that I have and I'm thankful for the relationship I have with God. I know the temple is a house of God and I'm so thankful that I was sealed to my husband there. I'm thankful for the knowledge that I have that families can be together forever. Everyday that I hug and kiss my son or just watch him play, my heart is filled with so much joy that I know we will be together forever.

How I live my faith

Like most Mormons I go to church every Sunday. I love going to Sunday School and learning and reading from the Bible and Book of Mormon and discussing doctrine with other adults. I attend Relief Society, where I gather with other women and we discuss the gospel, we read from the scriptures, and we talk about how as women we can lift each other up. I receive a lot of strength from these women. They have been there for me in times of need. At home I live my faith every day. I try every day to be a good example to my son so that he knows who Jesus Christ is and that he has a loving Heavenly Father. We pray together as a family every day, we have a picture of Jesus Christ in our home, and we often listen and sing hymns together. In my community, I serve as a cub scout den leader. I work with nine year old boys working to earn their Bear. It is very rewarding working with these young boys each week to help them pass achievements and develop life long skills. It is amazing to be part of the scouting program to see these young boys develop into young men.
