Hi I'm Amy

I love competing in sprint triathlons. I am a registered nurse. I married my best friend. I have 2 adopted children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I know the pains and struggles that accompany infertility. I have grieved the loss of several pregnancies. I am privilaged to know the miracle of adoption. I am a proud mother of two adopted children. I love being a mother! My husband is my best friend. We have been friends since we were 10 years old. We feel so blessed to have our little family. I enjoy participating in sprint triathlons. I love cooking and decorating. I love Holidays. I am a pediatric registered nurse.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a mormon. Living as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints brings so much joy and peace into my life. I know that my life has a purpose. Through the challenges that I face I can find hope in a greater plan. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me. I feel His love through the tender mercies that surround me. My relationships with others are strengthened as I strive to understand His teachings. I know that as I study the Bible and Book of Mormon daily I make better choices in my roles as a wife, mother, nurse, and friend. I have come to know the Savior as my friend and brother. His example provides a path for me to follow.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by choosing each day to be happy. I recognize the countless blessings that God has given me. My day is full of prayer. I start and end my day with personal prayer. I plead with my Father in Heaven to assist me in my roles as wife and mother. I seek strength as I strive to be the best mother for my children. My husband and I also start and end our day with couple prayer seeking guidance for our family and offering thanks for our blessings. We kneel together as a family every night and again seek strength and offer gratitude. I also participate in daily personal scripture study, couple scripture study, and family scripture study. We study the Bible and Book of Mormon. As we read we strive to learn more about our Savior Jesus Christ and apply His teachings into our daily life. I choose to live standards that I have been taught which include refraining from consuming coffee, alcohol, and drugs. I am modest in my dress and actions. I treat my body with reverence and respect. My husband and I have been asked to serve as leaders for the young single adults in our area. We love working with them! We plan parties, service activities, and spiritual evenings to uplift and encourage them through the challenges that they face. We strive to provide opportunities for them to meet, date, and marry other young single adults with similar likes, interests, and beliefs. Living my faith as a mormon brings me great joy.
