Hi I'm Becca

I grew up all over the United States, I love to laugh, dance, and be crazy with my 2 year old and my husband.. and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a hard working mother of a very spunky 2 year old girl with a baby boy on the way. I am an understanding wife as my husband works full time in the mornings and goes to school in the evenings. I love to listen to music loud and dance and sing as I clean or pretty much do anything with my little girl. I would not say I have many talents but many hopeful talents. I love to play guitar, run and swing dance but I am far from being the best. I love to laugh and it usually ends up being at myself. I moved around the United States most of my life with my family growing up and I have learned not to be shy and get to know people. I love to cook and eat what I cook. I am a spicy girl and I could live off my homemade salsa and chips. I took college classes in high school that led me to be able to graduate at 16. I someday want to finish my degree in elementary/special education. My husband is going to school for pharmacy and my hope is that when is done then I will be able to finish my degree. Education is very important to me. My father was a Marine and I have a strong respect for our military and know how to keep my house in top shape. My mother was a homemaker and taught me how to be creative and be strong when things get tough. I live in an apartment and dream of the day when I get to live in my first house with my sweet children and husband. I come from a swedish heritage and I have red hair that I get from my grandma who was full swedish. My family is my life.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother grew up a member of the LDS church and my father grew up Catholic. My father fell in love with the church when he was dating my mother. So all of my life I have been going to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It was just a way of life as I was younger and taught me how to be good and make good choices and pray. But as I got older and learned more and listened more at church..It became more to me than a church..I learned why I was on earth, where I will go after I die, that I have a father in heaven who loves me and answers my prayers, that I have a savior, Jesus Christ. I always felt so happy attending church and I knew what I was doing what was right. I love the Book of Mormon. I believe it is true because I have prayed about it and felt in my heart that it is true. As you read in the Book of Mormon you are taught so much from basic principles to some unanswered questions that somehow get answered in your mind as you read your scriptures. When you are younger you see that happy family life and strive for it....But its not that easy..You have to work at it..The lord never said it would be easy to follow his commandments but he said it would be worth it. It also just makes sense to me...In the bible God talks to and calls prophets.. The book of mormon is the same...why wouldnt God have called prophets in the americas?? He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.. and why would he not have a prophet today?? In this crazy world we live in...He loves us..and wants us to be happy..Wouldnt we need help and guidence in our world today like they did in ancient times?? And if they had sacred temples in ancient times why would they not have them today?? This church just makes sense to me.. It makes me happy and is the key stone on they way I am raising my family and I have seen the results and will continue to strive to live and follow the teachings of Christ and make sure I teach my children how to follow our Savior, Jesus Christ as well

How I live my faith

I attend church every sunday with my family. Not always on time but we are always there! I lead the music in the women's meeting. I enjoy music very much and I love picking out hymns that go with the lesson to help the women feel closer to Christ and help them prepare spiritually for the lesson that is being taught. I am not prefect at leading music but I try my hardest and love to do it. I also love to attend the once a month Women Nights with the women of the church. I love the different things they plan! Sometimes it's a dinner and an inspirational talk, a craft night, share your talents, how to better your family, become better and get closer to Christ, service projects, learn new things, and there is always food and most important chocolate! I have also subbed and taught a sunday school class. It was for the 10 year olds and it was an amazing experience. Those children were so sweet and so willing to learn and I loved going into the classroom and help them learn more about the teachings if Jesus. I also have a sister in the church that I buddy up with and we go and visit two other women in our church. One of the ladies we go and visit is an older widow. She is very sweet and loves to chat and you can tell she is very lonely and looks forward to seeing us every month. I have learned so much from her as I listen to her and hear all her stories and experiences. I love that we can see her every month and make sure she is ok. We also help her out if she needs anything. The other lady we visit is the very opposite. She is a young mother of two. I love how the church is set up where everyone is looked after. I have two ladies that come see me every month and it always makes me feel loved and needed.. I love the good that we do to help one another in the service of our God and through that service we make ever lasting friends.
