Hi I'm Michelle

I grew up in Texas. I love adventure. I am passionate about health and wellness. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of 7 children. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Exercise Science. I love helping people in their wellness goals. I enjoy traveling and seeing new places. I have a lifetime goal of visiting all the National Parks in the United States. I love nature and enjoy hiking and camping. I am a proud Texan. I served a mission in the great state of Oregon. I love to spend time with my friends and my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a family that taught me principles of prayer to a Heavenly Father who loves me and listens, the importance of personal scripture study, and to seek after Christ in my life. In a moment in my life when I was needing an answer to know if the Book of Mormon was the word of God I said a prayer to Heavenly Father asking him of its truth.I started reading in a chapter in the Book of Mormon and a verse stuck out to me which said, "I would commend you to seek this Jesus of whom the prophets and apostles have written, that the grace of God the Father, and also the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost, which beareth brecord of them, may be and abide in you forever. Amen." When I read this verse the Holy Spirit bore record to me of the truth of the Book of Mormon. My life has been greatly as I have followed this direction and sought after Christ. I know that he restored His church here on the earth and has blessed us with modern day apostles and a prophet to teach us just as the prophets of old and lead me and others to Christ.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to live my faith daily as I apply the principles that the Savior taught. Principles of love and kindness, compassion and forgiveness. I try to apply these principles as I interact with strangers, friends at work or other environments, and with my family. I find we are able to encourage one another in life and respect one another in our beliefs. I have the opportunity to teach the 12 and 13 year old youth during a Sunday School class. I love to learn from them and feel that I have an adventure with them every Sunday as we learn together.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

We were sent to families so that we could support and strengthen one another in our trials and share our happiness with one another. Family is central to our Heavenly Father's plan of happiness. In our families we learn to live the principles that God teaches us to live. Our families can be our greatest joy while living on this earth. Our families can be united in love and become stronger as we live gospel principles. When this life is over our families can be reunited in the presence of God and enjoy all the blessings that our Heavenly Father has for us. Show more Show less
