Hi I'm Katie

I grew up in California. I ran cross-country and track at Brigham Young. I am married and have 3 kids and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in beautiful Colorado. My husband and I have been married for 9 years and we have 3 children. I love the outdoors and especially love to run. My kids keep me busy with their school, sports and other activities and we love it. Life is good.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ is aware of us, loves us and wants us to return to Him. Through the restoration of the gospel, we have the full saving ordinances available to us. This means that I will be with my family for eternity. I love having this knowledge. As long as we are striving to be righteous and repent daily, He promises that we will be together with our families forever. I can't imagine thinking that once we are dead, my husband and children will be separated from me. Having this ordinance in my life gives me comfort. It also inspires me to live a righteous life. In addition to the Bible, Mormons also believe in the Book of Mormon-Another Testament of Jesus Christ. As I read daily from these scriptures, I learn of Christ and his perfect example. It inspires me to live a more charitable life. No one has a perfect life or is free from trials, but having the knowledge that Jesus is aware of us-even in our daily tasks-strengthens me. As I pray for strength and direction, he guides me through the Holy Ghost-a comforter that is available to everyone. He wants all of us to experience joy, peace and love. This is also available to all of us as we call upon Him through prayer and live a righteous life. I know that Jesus Christ is our personal Savior. He died for us so that we could live with Him again. His death and resurrection is the ultimate gift. He did this for us because He loves us. I am grateful for His love that I feel daily-even in hard times because it lifts me up, strengthens me and gives me the courage to keep going.

How I live my faith

Day by day. I pray and study from the scriptures daily. We are teaching our children that even though they are young, they can pray for comfort and guidance. We also teach them to follow Jesus Christ's example so that they can make the right decisions. I am currently teaching the 8 year old children at church on Sundays.
