Hi I'm Michael Kartchner

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to my lovely wife Faelynn and have 3 wonderful children, Landon 15, Brody 11 and Cassidy 9. I currently live in Cedar City, Utah and work at the Utah Shakespeare Festival. I am volunteer for many organizations, Relay for Life, American Red Cross (Instructor 19+ years, and a Disaster Service volunteer), Cedar City Jr Ballet Board Member and I am A Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church, though I made a bad choice as a teenager not to attend church, it took me until I was 21 to realize what I was missing, and I thank my friend Paul Porter and his example and love for the lord that brought me back into fold. I also am thankful for my mother for her patients and love for me (I borrowed her testimony to gain mine). I served a mission to the Canada Toronto East\West Mission (I was there when the mission split), I spent most my time as a missionary in Toronto, and it outskirt towns. I gained a strong testimony of the Book of Mormon while on my mission and I love the scriptures. I am Latter-Day Saint because I know the church is true. Jesus Christ is my Savior and he does lead and guide this church through his Prophet and Apostles. The Book of Mormon is scripture and along with the Bible teaches me that Jesus Christ has a plan for us and if we following him we can share in his glory.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life as a good example to my friends, neighbors and more especailly my family. I have a very diverse family (my brothers and sister), they lead lives that others may concider out there or abnormal. I love my family dearly and they mean the world to me, and I would do anything for them. So one of the best things I can do is keep my faith and be an example for them.
