Hi I'm Lindsey

I'm a wife. I'm a soon to be mother. I'm a dental hygienist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work as a dental hygienist and I'm an avid flosser because of it. I love working with patients and teaching them about health. I'm a wife of a very hungry and busy husband and we are about to be parents for the first time! I spend my time learning and reading all about being a mother. I'm also going to school full-time to further my education in dental hygiene. I'm a bit of a nerd and have always loved school. Any extra time I have, I try to find something fun to do. Cooking is usually on the top of the list. I love to experiment in the kitchen and I love when I make food everyone enjoys. I have burned a lot of things in the short time I have been married, but constantly try to cook anyway. My husband and I play volleyball on the weekends with our other brothers and sisters. When the weather is nice, I love to hike and enjoy the beautiful outdoors!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it makes too much sense not to be. I was born into a Mormon family who typically went to church and taught me to do the same. When I was in junior high, I wasn't really sure about all of it. I needed to know for myself instead of living off of what my parents said and thought. As I found different friends of different standards, things never felt right in my life. I knew I was not living how God wanted me to live. I prayed to feel peace in my life and it was through Christ and His church that I felt that peace. As I changed my ways and found friends who helped me live right, I gained my own testimony of the truthfulness of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As I've grown, I know I needed that time in my life so I could know for myself if this church was true. I needed to choose for myself to be a member of Christ's church. I know that God loves me. He is always watching out for me. He has a plan for each of His children. I know that prayer is real. I know God lives and He speaks to man today through a living prophet. I know families can be together forever. It is because of my knowledge of all of these things that I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Being a member of the church has shaped who I am today. My faith is apart of all the aspects of my life. I do my best to live my faith every day. It is important to me to first talk with God everyday through prayer. I try to act better everyday in little ways, such as having patience with my husband. At church, I play the piano for the children's singing time and classes. I love practicing and playing the church songs because the spirit they bring helps strengthen my faith. I also love learning from the children. My faith is important to me and it is even more important to me to live it. I must be like Christ, act as He would, and do my best every single day!
