Hi I'm Anna.

I'm a stay-at-home Indiana mom. I homeschool my 4 young children and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom that spends most of my time teaching my children at home. I enjoy reading, watching "Pride and Prejudice" type movies, playing the piano, and hanging out with my friends. I enjoy reading blogs and being on Facebook. I love to plan and go on trips, most recently to Taiwan. I like to hike and camp. I love to talk to my friends about life and the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were both converts to the church. I grew up believing the church was true but also depending on my parents testimonies. When I was 21, I was a missionary at Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah. Here, my testimony was tested. I remember having a fellow missionary that questioned everything that we had been sent there to teach. When I talked to her about Joseph Smith and that he was a prophet of God, I felt a warmth in my heart that did not come from me. It came from the Lord. It was the Holy Ghost telling me that these things were true. That feeling has come again and again as I have prayed to know if the words in the Book of Mormon are from God and when I have wondered if Jesus really knows who I am and cares about me. I have felt the joy that comes when I have truly changed my life and started to make better choices. This joy lifts me when I become overwhelmed by life and responsibilities. Our Savior does love us and cares deeply about each of us. I am amazed and oh, so grateful, that he loves me.

How I live my faith

I attend 3 hours of church meetings each Sunday! This consists of a general worship meeting, adult Sunday School, and a women's organization meeting. This is my time of spiritual reboot! I am also the Cub Scoutmaster for our church. I help organize our congregation's Cub Scouts. These are boys between 8-11 years old. I have spent time being the choir director for our congregation. I love to use music to worship the Lord. I also visit 4 women in our congregation on a monthly basis. Two of us visit them in their homes, give them spiritual encouragement, and see if they need any help that we can offer.
