Hi I'm Roselyn

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now, my main job is being a mom. I'm a mother, a step-mother, a wife and a member of a great family of brothers, sisters, and parents. When I’m not involved in raising my teenage children, I enjoy quilting, reading, spinning, and family history. I love music and enjoy playing the piano. I also have a graduate degree and taught grade school before I got married. The center of my life is my family and the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

The principal reason I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is because I believe that Jesus Christ was the Son of God and that He came to earth to atone for my sins and to provide me a way to return home to live with Him. I believe that through the restoration of his church and gospel teachings, I can be with my family forever. I'm a Mormon because I believe that my family is eternal and those bonds do not dissipate at death. I'm a Mormon because I believe the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provides me the opportunity to follow Jesus Christ as I worship, raise a family, serve others and grow myself. I'm a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

My faith is a way of life for me. It involves attending church on Sunday, where I play the organ as needed during Sacrament meeting and help out in the nursery for small children during Sunday School. I also help lead an activity group during the week for grade school girls in our congregation. The girls have fun learning the gospel along with service activities and crafts. As members of our church, we have the opportunity to help out in many areas of our congregation, and we learn to love each other as we serve. I also enjoy serving in the community and have volunteered in the schools my children attend and at a local women's shelter. In our home we have a weekly family night where we schedule our week and have a gospel message. We try to read the scriptures as a family every night and our teenagers attend an early morning scripture study class before school. My faith influences the things I do and the way I act and who I am. In the end, the best way I can live my faith is by following the example of Jesus Christ through loving and serving others as He did.
