Hi I'm Josephine (JD)

I'm a rock climber, hiker, volunteer, wife & mom and workaholic. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to travel, my preferred method of travel is a good long road trip. I've driven across the United States about 15 times and always by a different route with a unique adventure. I enjoy exploring different cultures. I've had the opportunity to work with people around the world and look forward to visiting other countries. I volunteer in my community. Weather I'm helping in a school, homeless shelter, retirement center or a friend in need I find that serving others is always fulfilling. I'm married to my "prince charming" who shares in my dreams and goals. I'm a Mom to 3 beautiful girls.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a very analytical person. I approach each decision with logic and reason. I believe in being a good person and caring for those around me. I have a very close friend who is the same. My friend is an atheist and I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The defining difference between us is Faith. I've had many experiences that can't be explained with reason and logic alone. These personal moments have led me to know that I am the daughter of a loving Heavenly Father who has a plan which includes me. Feeling that love which Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have for me personally, allows me to trust and believe in the answers I receive to prayers. It gives purpose to my decisions. I'm thankful for the light of the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. It makes all the difference.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving and loving others. I take on challenges, like being a young mother, and give it my all knowing Jesus Christ will make up the difference when I fall short. Raising my daughters in this imperfect world requires a lot of faith. I am teaching them to be strong and courageous. I want them to know that there is nothing they can't achieve if they put their mind to it. I am striving to instill in them a great sense of self respect and honor for their God. Most importantly I want them to know they are loved; not just by their Dad and me, but by Heavenly Father.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Josephine (JD)
Most religions accept that there is more than this life, they believe that when we die our souls will continue. It makes sense to me that our spirits would carry forward their connections to a child, spouse, parent or sibling. I have faith in a loving God who understands and condones marriage and family and has provided a way for those family units to continue after this life. Show more Show less
