Hi I'm Nancy

I'm Tongan. I'm an athlete. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Nancy Ann Vea. I love volleyball. It's my passion. I'm Tongan, number three of five children. I have many, many relatives (as most Polynesians do). I love them all with all I am. I'm sacrificing everything I love for 18 months for the thing I love most: the gospel. I'm currently serving in the Oklahoma Tulsa Mission. My family means the world to me. This gospel is what kept my family pulling together instead of pulling apart in the hard times. Family is the most important social unit on the earth. I love doing what I can to help families learn and grow in this gospel; to help families become forever.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church; however, I didn't come to know it's truthfulness and fullness just because I grew up in the gospel. I didn't just learn it. I had to experience it. I've had and still have to fully rely on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know without a shadow of a doubt that this is the true and full gospel because "by their fruits ye shall know them". I've come to learn on a mission that "adversity becomes adventure" in the work of the Lord. As I truly rely on the gospel, I find new levels of peace and comfort. The fruits of this gospel are those blessings of peace I feel, they are the knowledge that I will be with my family forever, not just til death do we part.

How I live my faith

I don't drink. I don't do drugs. I go to church every Sunday. I strive to live a clean life and keep good company. It seems pretty simple and insignificant, but "...by small and simple things are great things brought to pass". All of us are bound for greatness as long as we live the standards and keep the commandments. CPR. Church. Pray. Read. It's kept me from Spiritually flat-lining.
