Hi I'm Robert

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a career consultant recently graduated from college with my masters degree in Management and Human Resources. I like to cook, dance, take long drives and am an uncle, brother, son, and a Pineapple enthusiast!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church all my life and for the longest time I went to church just because my parents did; I figured if it was good enough for them then it should be good enough for me. It wasn't until I was 18 that I decided to find out for myself if what my parents believed was really what I believed. I was away at college for the first time and reading the Book of Mormon as part of a class I was taking at a church owned school. I had never once prayed about the church and if it was true. So I decided to do so once I finished reading the Book of Mormon all the way through. I came to the end of my reading the book and knelt in prayer; very frankly I asked the Lord if what I had been taught all my life was really true and if I should continue to live as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? There was no overwhelming feeling or rays of light or trumpets sounding from Heaven, nothing like that, but there was a calm assurance that yes, what I had been taught my whole life was true, and that I had always known. It was now that I had a confirmation from the Lord himself through his spirit that it really was true. From that moment on, things about the Gospel of Jesus Christ starting to take on a whole new meaning for me, mainly that it meant more to me now, things about Christs teachings and those principals I had been taught my whole life seemed to make more sense. I had found my own testimony! It was no longer the testimony of my parents it was my own. About a year later I left to serve a full time mission for God and my Faith, where I shared my new found testimony with the people of Ohio. I love my God and know that he and his son Jesus Christ live, that the Book of Mormon is another testament along with the Bible of their divinity and love for all the people of the earth. I know that Joseph Smith was prophet of God, whom God used to restore to the earth those things of the Gospel of Jesus Christ that had been lost.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing what I believe with others when I have the opportunity. I attend church regularly and have on several occasions been asked to teach classes on preparing young men and women to serve full-time missions for the Church. I served a mission myself several years ago. It was such a blessing to my life that I have been asked to share what I learned with others. I also strive to live the principals that I have been taught about the Gospel of Jesus Christ
