Hi I'm Lori

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mother of 4. I have two grand girls & love spending time with them.We live in the country on a creek my Mom calls a river so it's fun to play outside with our family & friends. I love to read. I love music of all kinds. My husband is a convert to the Church & has made a difference for me to understand the sacrifices others make to be members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints....I LOVE HIM!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up with parents who have a strong testimony of the Church so the example has always been there. As I grew in age my testimony also grew through attending every activity and meeting that was there for me. I always knew that I wanted to keep my family forever & to do that I needed to stay close to my Heavenly Father through prayer & scripture study. Also, I needed to find a young man that felt the same way I did about religion. Greg joined the Church because of a friend he knew introduced him to the Church. A year after he joined the Church we were sealed for time & all eternity. What a wonderful blessing! After 31 years of marriage & getting to see our 4 children grow on the gospel & mature into wonderful adults, I can't wait to see what happens in the next 31 years!

How I live my faith

Of all the callings in the Church that I have had, I LOVED working with the youth & young single adults! The youth are our future & they are GREAT! You find some wonderful people if you get to know them for who they are & not for what they wear or what people say about them. Youth have it so hard with all the labels people put on them. When we're at a Church activity they are able to relax & be themselves(in my mind & heart that is always the better person).I work part time in the high school system and really enjoy the chance to interact with those teenagers who need to share what is going on in their lives. Sometimes the things they tell me shock me & make me feel so blessed & I try to find ways to help them see who they are, a child of our Heavenly Father. Others give me hope of the future because they have their heads on straight. I now get to work with the young women at girls camp for a week each summer. That's where the fun begins! I have the best calling...for me!
