Hi I'm Leif

I'm an instructor for a large telecommunications company. I'm a tabletop game enthusiast. I'm a proud Eagle Scout. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the proud father of four children. Three boys and one girl are the pride of my existence. My dear wife was the greatest gift ever to me; I am the luckiest man to have her in my life. I am an eagle scout. I am very active in the scouting program. I enjoy and have been on staff for Wood Badge, and learn more and more about leadership skills each time. I gratify in being a part of my sons path to their own eagle scout award. I have been in telecommunications for 17 years. I recently became an instructor for new sales associates into the company, and am loving every moment of it. I enjoy a regular work schedule to open more time with my family. I enjoy games that require on-the-table interaction with others. Board games, etc. are in great abundance at my home, and I love playing with friends and family. I have served in the military, and am humbled by the opportunity to do so. I have a great deal of respect for those who serve in a combat situation, and wish them and their families all the best support an love from the Savior.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of the church. Actually, I was born to a teenage mother who chose to put me up for adoption; not being able to adequately provide for me. The parents who adopted me are my parents. They always will be. They are Utah natives, and both raised in the church. My experiences from moving about the country because of my father's career was priceless. I was able to see that no matter where we lived, the church operated the same. The same lessons were taught. The same hymns were sung. The testimonies born of the Savior, Jesus Christ, were likewise sincere and poignant. I at first relied on the testimonies of my parents, but after prayer and study gained my own testimony of Joseph Smith, the Book of Mormon, temple work, and eternal families. The teachings within the church are profound. They serve a purpose. Commandments are not easy to follow. This is why repentance is real and necessary. One thing I have learned; they just make sense. We are to keep the Word of Wisdom. Not only for our health; but, think of the financial benefits of doing so! The Law of Chastity is so very important to strengthening the family. Does it not make sense to be chaste to your eternal companion? I know my Savior, Jesus Christ, lives. I know he leads this church through a living prophet. I know it was restored through Joseph Smith. I know the Book of Mormon to be true; complimenting the awesome testaments of the Bible. I love my family, and am grateful in the knowledge that we are eternal.

How I live my faith

I am heavily involved in the Young Men's organizations in my local area. I teach boys of 14-15 years of age. It's a humbling experience; trying to keep their attention and provide worthwhile lessons. My responsibilities also include the Boy Scouts of America; helping the boys on their trail to their eagle scout rank. I greatly enjoy the skills they learn in scouting; and I have the responsibility of continuing their education of the gospel. What a wonderful experience! One of many important callings offered within the church!
