Hi I'm Marjie

I'm a half Japanese Brazilian and New Canadian. I'm a wife. I'm a Marketing Coordinator. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated college with a major in Business Management, emphasis in Marketing. I work full-time as a Marketing Coordinator. I love to cook, shop for clothes and shoes, keep in touch with old friends, and spend time with my family and dear ones. I have been married since November 2009, and every day I am grateful for my sweet husband. We love traveling, cooking and going out to eat together! We also enjoy watching movies and playing board games at home with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I remember when I was 9 years old, my father challenged me to pray about whether or not the church was true. He wanted me to develop my own testimony of the gospel and not live by his and my mom's. I remember asking with the pure sincerity of a child, and feeling a burning in my bosom. I knew that the things I learned in my home and at church about the gospel made my life happier. As I have been tested through the trials of life, I have never stopped questioning my Father in Heaven with the intent of finding Truth and comfort. I sometimes find myself on my knees begging Him to fulfill His promises to comfort, guide, and protect me, and I know with full certainty that He hears my pleas, He understands my heart, and comforts me by encircling me with unimaginable love. I know that living the gospel gives me the freedom to enjoy life to its fullest. I know our leaders are led by Him. And I know that although we aren't perfect as members of this church, I know the gospel is perfect, because Christ is at the head of it.

How I live my faith

Although I have served in different ways, I currently teach Sunday School to 9-year-old children. Church service is completely voluntary and rewarding. It brings me great joy to teach these children about Christ, and bear them my testimony every week that his exemplary life here on Earth can help us lead happier lives as well. I used to volunteer in the Chicago Temple as a worker once a week. What wonderful and sweet experiences I have had within the walls of the House of our Lord. I find great joy in serving and helping all those within my reach -- Mormon or not. I find that the reward I receive far outweighs the time and help I offer them.
