Hi I'm Debbie Smith

I grew up in Taipei Taiwan. I am the first mormon of the family. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom with four kids. I came to America from Taiwan when I was 25 years old and have been living here in America since. I love math and play any games that can tease my brain. I had both my Bachelors and Masters degree from ASU. I am a high school math teacher and work part time teaching at the college. I love travel and be with my children. I love share my time with my friends if it is possible. I also love to watch cute romantic Asia Dramas. My life have been blessed all these years that I was trying my best to live in other country.

Why I am a Mormon

I learned about the church when I was still study at College in Taiwan. I love peaceful feelings and positive encouragement. While learning about the gospel from missionaries, I feel peace and happy. I know at the time while learning the gospel, to become a member is the right thing to do. I want to learn more about God and become closer to him.

How I live my faith

I had been baptized since 1992 in Taipei, Taiwan when I was 22 years old. As a member in the church of these years, I have learned many things and the gospel has become the greatest blessing in my life. During Sundays, I teach 9 years old children, share and learn how to become more like Heavenly Father. I love visiting sisters from the church and get to know them better. What I enjoy the most is reading scriptures to know what is Heavenly Father what me to learn and pray to him every day. By doing this I know I am communicating with Heavenly Father everyday and redirect my sometimes wrong choices. I am grateful for the opportunities that I can repent and do the right thing again. I have a great desire that I want to go back and live with Heavenly Father again.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Debbie Smith
Because I know that families can be together forever and everyone of us is a child of god, I am trying to do my best to treat and teach each one of my children the right thing that Heavenly Father has teaching me. Through our almost 18 years of marriage, me and my husband trust and respect each other. My children have learned about their Heavenly Father since they were young, so I know faith has grown in their heart and I can trust them to make their own decisions when they are older. I know if I am faithful and always council with Heavenly Father, one day we will all go back to Heaven and have a happy life. Show more Show less
