Hi I'm Neil Thomas

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in the church and recently retired from Home Depot. I have lived in the South for most of my adult life and consider it my home although I was raised in Utah. I served a mission in England in the mid 60's followed by service in the military in the late 60's. I love to go camping and being out in nature and my wife and I love to shop for antiques and collectables.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised in the church, it became important to me to decide for myself whether or not what I had been taught was right. When I was 19 years old I decided to serve a mission in England. It would be impossible for me to tell others about the church if I did not know what I was telling them was true. At that point I committed to do what I had been telling others to do; read the Book of Mormon and pray about it. My prayers were answered and my testimony of the Book of Mormon and the doctrines of the church have been strong ever since.

How I live my faith

I am currently teaching the adult Sunday School class in my ward and work at hte Atlanta Temple two days per week. I enjoy reading church books and the Scriptures including the Book of Mormon and the Bible. I find it challenging and very benifical to me to study and prepare to teach others the gospel. I also find it very comforting to spend time close to Heavenly Father in the temple where I can help those who have gone before me to prepare to live in the eternities with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
