Hi I'm Trevor

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Trevor and currently enrolled in school, and studying Civil Engineering. A year ago, I was a senior at another University studying Biology, but it didn't fit. I loathed my core classes. My wife and I began to look at other majors; after much study and including God in our decision we have moved, changed majors, and added 3 years of schooling to finish my bachelors... As a result I enjoy my classes, I anxiously look forward to my career and future, my wife has a job that she loves, and we are closer to family. My wife and I have been married for almost a year and a half, and this coming August we will become parents. Yes, I still have 2 years left of school, and then I'm probably going to do a Masters of Engineering. I have no idea how it will all work financially, but we'll figure it out. As long as we keep the commandments of God, all things will work out in the end. I love to wrestle. I grew up watching my dad coach wrestling, and since I was 8 or 9 I would go with him to the High School tournaments and watch. I hope someday I can have the opportunity to coach wrestling. Other than that I love random things such as: writing, playing the guitar, working out, the water, above all things I love my wife. She is the greatest blessing in my life, the girl of my dreams and so much more. I knew she was incredible when I was marrying her, and as we have continued to learn and grow together she becomes more amazing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because this is the best way I know of to grow closer to our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that this is Christ's church. I have studied the scriptures, although I have no claim to be a scriptorian, I have prayed and every time my answers are reconfirmed. The Book of Mormon is true, Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and through him God restored His Gospel and established His church on the earth again. And most importantly, the focal point of our religion, Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and because of Him, we can return to God. God is the source of all truth, and it is in prayer, scripture study, and fasting that I have found these answers, and many more. God is our Heavenly Father, and he does care about us, His children.

How I live my faith

First and foremost, I try and live my faith in the home, by trying to be a good husband. Christ gave me the perfect example of what type of man I want to be when he lived on the earth. I try to emulate "attributes of Christ" at home. I make dinner, and I try and clean, but I probably don't do it as often as I should. I keep my priorities straight: first God, then my family, and then I'll worry about school, and work. God has blessed me with so much, and compared to how much he has done, still does, and will do for me, he asks very little. I am not perfect when it comes to keeping the commandments, and magnifying my service opportunities when they come up, but because of the atonement of Jesus Christ I can repent, and everyday make a new and better effort.
