Hi I'm Kristine

I have an amazing husband, and I am the mother of six fun kids. I love music, reading and do it yourself projects. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of five children. We were all adopted by a couple in Arizona. I grew up wanting to explore and try alot of new things. Some of the things I enjoyed are gymnastics, dancing, playing the piano, sewing, and swimming in the summer. I especially enjoyed going on vacations with my family. I have not finished college yet, but hope to finish in the next year a degree in Elementary Education. Currently I spend a lot of time raising six wonderful children. When I do have free time I enjoy reading, trying new recipes, and I love do it yourself projects. Currently I am working on putting in a garden and geneology. I hope to also travel someday to all the interesting places that I read about.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was eight years old I lost my parents to a fatal accident. My siblings and I were sent to a group home. Eventually we were divided into foster homes. I remember calling our social worker daily asking for a home where we all could be together. She finally found us a couple willing to take all five of us. This couple was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As they began to share with me some of the things they believed, I felt a peace come into my life. I loved the importance of family in their church, having just fought to keeping what was left of my family together. Soon this wonderful foster family found a couple willing to adopt all five of us. This couple was also members of the same church. I continued to learn and loved the changes that were happening in my life. I knew that my life would be better if I embraced this church. As I continued to learn and study the Book of Mormon and Bible, I gained a spiritual witness that I had a Heavenly Father watching over me, and that his Son came to Earth to die for my sins. Even though my parents had died and for a time I felt very alone, now I knew that no matter what happened that I was never alone. My Heavenly Father and my elder brother, Jesus Christ were always there. I can speak to my Heavenly Father anytime and anywhere and He will answer me. His way is the only way of Happiness.

How I live my faith

We are taught in the scriptures that when we are serving others that we are serving our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. My mother always used to say to me, "We show our love by the way we serve." That phrase has really stuck with me. As I do things for my children and husband, I keep those words in mind, that I am showing them how much I love them. I show the sincerity of my devotion to a kind Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ through the same service not only to my family but to all of His children. I try to look for ways to be helpful. It may be holding the door for someone, or volunteering at my children's school, or also making meals for a sick friend. There is always something to do. I feel so appreciative of all that God has given me, that I feel like that is a way that I can pay him back for all the blessings he has given me. I hope to be able to pass on the importance of service to my children. Currently within the church I help the members with food storage. I am having a fun time helping others become more prepared to take care of themselves if something unexpected happens.
