Hi I'm Gerald

I'm a Mormon. I was born in Seattle, Washington. I am a professional cook.

About Me

I am a husband and father with two sons and three step daughters. I cook for a living and love to do handy work around the house and work on my motor vehicles. I used to own a restaurant business. I had drug and alchohol abuse problems before I joined the LDS church. I also had a pornography addiction. I find that having the gospel in my life and having an understanding of the atonement helps me to abstain from my addictions. I presently have a calling in the church as ward executive secretary and I love to serve in this capacity.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to be a member of the LDS church because I know that the gospel principles taught in this church are righteous and correct. I know that these teachings are essential in nurturing our families.

How I live my faith

I have held quite a few different callings since I joined the church nine years ago. All of these callings have helped me feel more comfortable in dealing with all sorts of social situations. I used to be quite introverted, and I felt uneasy around people, but my callings have helped me to come out of my social "shell". I presently hold the calling of "ward executive secretary" which gives me the opportunity to meet and converse with pratically everyone in the ward. It is my duty to provide continuity between the leaders of the church and it's members. I have also been a "nursery leader". Taking care of and teaching the gospel to little children is truly an awesome experience. I always keep a prayer in my heart that the things I say and teach to the youth are right and true.
