Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently moved from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast and I now live with my sister. I have two jobs at Boost and Hogs Breathe and I am studying full time at University. I am studying a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science after which I will study a bachelor of Physiotherapy to have a double degree. I love surfing and playing sports like basketball, snowboarding and volleyball. Between all this I try to fit time in for my friends and chilling. I've traveled to America and would love to travel many other interesting places in the future.

Why I am a Mormon

A question I frequently get that might be familiar to some of you when I tell people 'I'm a Mormon and so are my parents' is 'oh so you've never known anything different' or 'you have no choice'. No I didn't have a choice being born into a happy home with parents who raised me with good family and life values and for that I am grateful. I did however have a choice to accept the gospel into my life and recognize the holy ghost and Jesus Christ as my savior. I have complete control over my lifestyle and yes I sometimes fall short of my own expectations but truly knowing our Christ is truly knowing of the great and everlasting atonement and his love for us. I believe in this atonement and I believe in this gospel not because I was born into the church but because I cannot think of any other way to live my life then in having faith and believing in the values and standards set by the church to live a truly happy and eternal life. I only gained this testimony recently and sometimes I still do struggle like all humans but I know that by true faith in Christ and God we can live with him and with our families once again.

How I live my faith

At my age of 19m I have only had one real calling and that was in Primary. I loved this as I love children so much and to help and teach them once a month I really had a beautiful time in developing those young minds. Sometimes it's crazy the things you hear from the young people. You don't expect them to know and understand so much but trust me they do and I cannot wait for motherhood to realize this and many other things more. I attend church every Sunday and try to read my scriptures daily. The YSA program here on the Sunshine Coast is fairly small but we all try and get together as often as possible to just hang out but sometimes we organize our own little family home evenings and spiritual thought sessions by a fire with some hot chocolates and blankets.
