Hi I'm Mandie

I'm a busy wife and mother and I couldn't be happier! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live a happy life! I have 2 small children who are so much fun. I have been married for almost 7 years to a wonderful, supportive man who I love. I love to read, study, garden, be in the pool, run with friends, and watch sports with my husband. I also love to cook! There is nothing more satisfying than putting healthy, tasty food on the table for my family. I am learning how to sew and enjoy doing crafty things in my spare time. I have been blessed with the opportunity to attend college and study special education. I was able to teach children with Autism in a public school. I loved this experience! It was very challenging, but so, so rewarding! The things I learned in the classroom have changed me. When my son was born I chose to stay home and teach him. My husband is currently in graduate school. At this stage in my life, I am trying to do all I can to teach and strengthen my children and support my husband. In doing this I am daily trying to learn and grow as an individual so I am able to accomplish all I need to! I feel like this is what I need to be doing now. I love to be with my family. They are the joy of my life!

Why I am a Mormon

I know that my life has a purpose. As I learn more about Jesus Christ and what He would have me do, I become a better person. I am a better companion with my husband. I am a better mother to my children. I am better able to focus my time on things that matter most in life. The gospel of Jesus Christ brings me happiness because I can feel Christ's love for me. Since I was a child I have been slowly, but steadily learning more about the scriptures and the truths in them. I enjoy teaching these simple truths to my children: We are children of loving Father in Heaven. We chose to come to earth so we could learn to be obedient and follow Jesus. We are in families to help each other so we can all return to live in heaven together one day. The simpleness of the gospel is so powerful!

How I live my faith

Each Sunday at church I get to work with the children and their leaders to help them learn and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ. It definitely keeps me busy! I enjoy getting to know each of them and hearing their knowledge and feelings about the gospel. I love to see the kids turn 8 and chose to be Baptized because they are so enthusiastic and happy to follow Jesus Christ. I pray and study my scriptures and gain strength daily from the spirit this brings. I try to simply be kind. I think this is what Christ would have me do. I try to have more charity and love for my kids, husband, neighbors, friends, and people I do not yet know. As I do this I find I am happier with myself as well. I am grateful for my life and count my blessings each day to have the Church in my life.
