Hi I'm Russell

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, a father and a grandfather. I have been a member of the church my whole life. I served a mission for the church in Tulsa Oklahoma. I met my wife while singing in the Mormon Youth Symphony and Chorus. When we graduated from college, we moved to Arizona. I love living in Arizona, it has the greatest weather! I love old cars, I love photography, music, travel, dogs and my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ as my Savior. I learned young the joy of serving in the gospel. I have strong parents who served as great examples to me. I had a period of time in my teens where I felt I needed to explore other religions as I had only been exposed to the LDS faith. I prayerfully explored and saw the good in many religions, but felt they lacked the complete package. Through this exploration I realized that I indeed had a testimony of the truthfulness of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet who was visited by the angel Moroni and ultimately by God the Father and Jesus Christ. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God that serves as a second witness of Jesus Christ as our Savior. I know that Priesthood power has been restored to the earth and that we have a Prophet that stands at the head or our Church today to lead, guide and direct us. I know that the same knowledge that I have is available to all who prayerfully read the scriptures, with faith that their prayers will be answered.

How I live my faith

I serve in our ward as the Ward Clerk. I have worked with the youth and adults through the years. Our Wards are extensions of our family. We share in their joys and their sorrows. I have had callings using my musical abilities and am able to cultivate talents and share them with others. I try to live my life doing as the Savior would have me do. I know my conviction to my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ makes me a better person.
