Hi I'm Andrew

I believe that the greatest things are just waiting to be asked for and worked towards. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to think of life as the greatest journey ever taken. There are lows and highs, valleys and hills, trials and achievements. I was born a leader and am still showing those traits that I have been blessed to receive by the upbringing of my non-member parents. Being a convert in May 2011, I hope to learn more about the amazing church of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and aspire to guide others to the amazing happiness and blessings that have been given to me. Being able to know that I am truly secure and confident in something is a character trait that few may carry. In a world full of computer graphics and rampant doubt, it's hard to say or discern what is real in this life. It makes people start to wonder "What can I believe in anymore?" My faith, my belief, is structured in the faith that God is my Heavenly Father, who created me for a purpose, of which I have chosen to receive. I believe that Jesus Christ lived the perfect life in order to bear my sins and burdens and share the knowledge of a perfect life in heaven with my Heavenly Father. I believe the Old Testament Books of the Bible are the scriptures that guided the people of the New Testament. I believe the New Testament Books of the Bible are the Scriptures that created the true church of Jesus Christ. In time and prophecy, a great apostasy and fall of Christ's church happened. I believe that Christ's true church has once again been restored and the Book of Mormon leads the people of today.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe that it is the next great step of faith towards happiness. My beliefs as a Mormon help me to believe in truth that is directly meant for me. The blessings I have received of knowing the truths that I have now have the greatest testimony on my life, and it all started from my study of the Bible. I grew up in a wonderful loving Christian family who now attends Calvary Chapel. I will always be thankful for the belief my mom and dad gave me in the Bible. My parents are truly good because they grounded me in my beginning beliefs of God, Jesus Christ, and of the many testimonies of the prophets in the Bible. Fast forward to meeting with the missionaries in April of 2011. I desired to believe that Jesus Christ was truly real and that he was someone I could rely on. I knew of the Bible and had doubts (unbelief) in the Book of Mormon, so I searched the Bible and prayed. Searching and praying I had learned from my parents who taught me well, in the spirit. I came across a verse, Mark 9:24, which states, "... Lord, I belief; help thou mine unbelief." Jesus Christ performed many miracles, many of which were not believed in his day and even to this day some do not believe. He used no computers, no magic, but only asked that people believe that he was sent to earth to love us selflessly, to deny himself worldly sins, and live a perfect life to take our sins away from us. He did all this to share an eternal life, an eternal heaven, and an eternal Heavenly Father. Upon learning of this verse, and pondering of the state of unbelief of the society that I live in, I knew that there was much unbelief that I had to battle. I decided to ask God for help in battling it. He led me to many signs, scriptures, and people in my life that helped me to break down the wall of unbelief and bring in the flood of testimony. I know that I have made the right decision in the secure, confident belief that I have.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living a true and virtuous life. I attest my beginnings to a great childhood from my parents. They taught me firmly and strictly in virtue and love always sharing with me that I am a great blessing and will become a great man. I work hard and diligently giving thanks to God that he gave me desire to succeed in this life for Him. I pray daily with a heart of thanks and asking in humility that I may remember God in all that I do so as to represent Him in the way a father would expect his son. In my involvement in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I live my faith by creating a knowledge in my heart and mind of the scriptures, and praying to God to call them to my remembrance to strengthen my testimony and share God's happiness with others. I work to do the work of God in temples which are spoken of in the Bible numerous times and have been restored back to the earth. I am so thankful for the wonderful blessing that is the power of God to help me, guide me, and bless me, so that I may lead other back to Him by my actions, words, thoughts, lifestyle, choices, desires, confidence, strength, power, peace, serenity, love, joy, patience, long suffering, meekness, humility, temperance, self-control, and demonstrating the traits that my older heavenly brother, Jesus Christ, has set for me.
