Hi I'm Kayla

I'm from Mesa, Arizona. I study neuroscience. And, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am going to college to become a neuroscientist. I love to sew and cook. I love to go on adventures and try new things.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. So, they raised me as a Mormon. The things they taught me made so much sense to my mind and to my heart, that I could not imagine living any other way. Throughout the years, my testimony matured from the "borrowed light" from my parents to something that I know for myself. I was in 8th grade when my grandfather died in a car accident. I had never had anyone so close to me die. I was absolutely devistated. I was taught that if I turned to God, that he would bless and comfort me in my trials. So, in this time of need, I pleaded with my Father in Heaven for comfort and help. He responded by sending the Holy Spirit to testify to me about the Plan of Salvation. I knew beyond any doubt that I would see my grandpa again. I knew that because my family was sealed in the temple, I could live with them all if I lived worthy of that blessing. I love my family so much, that I could not imagine spending eternity without them.

How I live my faith

Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is not just a one-time commitment. It's a way of life. I live my faith by striving to read my scriptures and pray daily. I try to be a friend to all I meet. I strive to follow my Savior's example in all I do.
