Hi I'm Alecia

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a wonderful man. I have 6 kids. I'm a stay at home mom. I love to sing in the church choir. When I get the chance I interpret for the deaf/hearing impaired. I love to scrapbook pictures of my kids. I love to swim and go on walks/runs (especially with my friends) . I like to watch movies and play Sudoku puzzles.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were converts and I was raised in the Church. As a teenager I was not living the standards that I had been taught. When I was 19, I realized that living that way didn't make me happy. I adjusted my lifestyle to align with my beliefs and a light returned to me. I found true happiness again. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was true, and I received an impression that it was true. I always had a testimony that Joseph Smith was a true prophet like the ones of old. I listen to and read the words of the modern prophets today and I know that they lead Christ's Church today because when I have struggles or need answers, I find peace and answers from them and in the scriptures. I'm so grateful the the Gospel doesn't change. It's steady in a world that is constantly changing the rules. Following the Lord's standards and making and keeping covenants with my Heavenly Father help me stay positive and stay focused on the eternal matters. I am able to teach my children how to be happy even in difficult times. There is no perfect life, but there is a perfect God who loves us. He has given us His Gospel to show us the way to happiness here on Earth and for eternity. Not everyday is a good day, but I have a great life because I have the Gospel.

How I live my faith

I have interpreted for deaf members for several years off and on. Whenever I was needed. I LOVE working with the Youth and have been a youth leader in the Church many years. I have also organized Girl's Camp (young women ages 12-18.) several years as well. I currently help organize some of the service efforts for the women in my Ward.
