Hi I'm Isaac

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Single 32 year old hispanic male, originally born in Cd. Juarez, Mexico. Lived in the USA since nine years old. The eldest of five brothers(2 brothers 3 sisters) Currently active church member in the state of Colorado. Presently working for a national consumer research firm as a bilingual recruiter. Politically unaffilliated, though I consider myself a moderate leaning conservative.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a third generation Mormon, born and raised in the church. My grandparents converted to the restored gospel before I was born and also brought up their children in its teachings. Despite these things, I did not personally gain a testimony of the church until about the age of sixteen after somewhat of an intensely rebellious phase. My experience as a youth led me to deny even the very existence of God, but, and likley thanks to the prayers of my grandparents, the Lord saw fit in his mercy to finally open my eyes to his wonderful plan of salvation. My conversion to the gospel was not the result of any single dramatic experience, (though I had plenty of them) but was born and nourished through a love and dedicated study of the holy scriptures. I know by the power and manifestaion of the Holy Ghost that the revelations brought forth by the prophet and seer Joseph Smith are of God, and that he was chosen of him to restore his priesthood and kingdom in this last dispensation.

How I live my faith

I am an ordained elder in the church and have held callings such as that of stake missionary and sunday school teacher through out the years. While I do not currently hold any callings, I love sharing the Gospel with others and learning more about its precepts every day. Although I wouldn't necessarily say that I live an exemplary life, I do strive for perfection within the means which God has alotted me. I am grateful for being a member of Christ's restored church today and for having the knowledge of his eternal plan of happiness.
