Hi I'm Shannon

I'm a proud mother of three. I'm a writer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a busy stay-at-home mom of three children under the age of ten! I love to be home with them and watch them grow and change! I also love to play the piano, write, cook, and read. I am happy living here in Idaho where I am surrounded by so much natural beauty. I enjoy hiking and camping with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

The quick answer is that I am a Mormon because I was born and raised in this church. However, the reason that I continue to be a Mormon now that I've reached adulthood is because I have come to develop my own testimony of this gospel through the trials and accomplishments I have encountered in my life. My faith keeps me grounded in a world that often feels like it is spinning out of control. It gives me purpose, stability and hope. It reminds me to follow the Savior in the way I treat others. It makes me strive each day to be a better person and to try in small ways to improve the world around me.

How I live my faith

I have been blessed to work with children in my church for the last few years. Their innocence and faith is so inspiring. I also enjoy visiting some of my widowed neighbors, who have become some of my dear friends. Mostly, I try to live my faith by striving each day to be a better wife and mother, and by trying to treat those around me as the Savior would treat them.

What do Mormons believe about family?

We believe that the family is the fundamental unit of society, and that families can be united for eternity. We believe that by creating strong families, we can make the world a better place. Show more Show less
