Hi I'm Monica

I love being outside and reading. I'm a mom and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Monica I am a proud Mother of a 3 year old son, I have been on my own since I was 16 and I am planning to start online college soon. I enjoy horse back riding, swimming, reading and being outside. I love all the seasons except Spring becasue it rains way to much. I love meeting new people and talking with them. One of my favorite sayings is " Strangers are just friends you havent met yet."

Why I am a Mormon

I became a member of the LDS Church after meeting and receiving lessons from missionaries that my friend had invited over to help me understand the church because I had been told so many lies about it and teased his sister who had been baptised "He was not Mormon". I've visited multiple churches in the past growing up but none of them ever felt right or true. While first meeting with the missionaries I was very rude, close minded and believed all the popular lies and twisted versions of the church causing me treat them poorly. After a few lessons I decided to start paying attention as I started realising Mormons were not at all what I had been lead to believe. I became really interested in what I was hearing, so when the missionaries asked if i would read the Book of Mormon and pray about if it was true I was like sure I will give it a try. After about a month and a half of lessons the missionaries asked if I would consider getting baptized. I loved the idea of going to church but to be committed to it terrified me. So I prayed about it for a week or so and decided I should. Later getting baptized felt more and more like the right thing to do and a few weeks later I was baptised and confirmed. Ever since becoming a member of the church I have felt so much happier and full of life with this ball of warm fuzziness inside. I feel like its the best decision I have ever made and that it has brought me closer to God and his son Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending my local singles and family wards for Sunday church services, as well as Wednesday institute classes to better understand the scriptures, Gospel Study on Thursdays "A local casual group meeting with friends and missionaries to further discuss the gospel and life with activities usually in a church members home" also FHE (Family Home Evening) on Mondays which is really just having fun typically playing games and enjoying others company.
