Hi I'm Nora Seymore

I am an Arizonan. I'm a wife, and student at Arizona State University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a geography student at Arizona State University with a minor in GIS. Its been amazing learning more about this beautiful world that we live in, and how to use all types of information make all types of maps on computers. I love to sew random things in my spare time, random things such as purses, flowers, and more. I have now been married for about 5 months, and have been absolutely loving it. I am constantly learning new things about life, and myself. Family is extremely important to me. With 8 kids in my family (me being number 7) and 10 nieces and nephews with 3 more babies on the way it sometimes feels like a zoo when we get all together. I wouldn't trade it for the world though. I can't wait for the chance to start my own family. Its just around the corner. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because of its truth, and joy that it brings into my life. The gospel is a special treasure which helps make us want to constantly strive to be better, and more like what Christ wants us to be. He loves us, and wants us to be happy. I know that we have a prophet called of God on this earth today to help give us direction and be the mouthpiece of the Lord to guide us in these days. I know that we have scriptures as a way to enrich and bless and teach us how to be better. I know that the Lord speaks to us individually through the spirit so that we can have individual direction even in the small decisions in our life. I know that the Lord knows our hearts, and that if something matters to us, it matters to Him as well. I know that Temples are essential to returning to God, and that through them families are sealed for eternity together. I know that Christ came to this earth to provide a way for us to have eternal happiness. Through him we can overcome any problem. I know that even when things in my life get hard and almost unbearable God is just teaching me how to be stronger and better. I have the capability of still being happy when things get hard. We have so many great and wonderful blessings. The list of blessings only grows daily. No one loves us more than Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. :)

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example of a someone who is striving to know Christ more. Being a Student at the largest University campus would seem pretty hard with the worlds standards seeming to laugh at my standards, but really it doesn't have to be that way. I work hard to never cheat, work hard in my classes, and often tell people about my happiness in being married in the LDS temple so I can be sealed forever to my husband. Institute is always a blessing as well. It helps me draw closer to the scriptures and better learn how to apply them to my life. I also live my faith by trying to do my best to teach the 12-13 year old girls in my ward about standards, and how living our lives in these higher standards can help lift us to higher ground.
