Hi I'm Camaron

I'm a Mormon, and I love it!

About Me

I am a wife and a mother of 4. I am a stay at home mom. I stay busy running the kids around to their different events, grocery shopping, cooking & cleaning. When I find a few spare minutes to myself I enjoy sewing. My favorite thing to sew is aprons, especially children's aprons & holiday aprons. I also love to take recipes & alter them to make them really healthy. I have a love for hiking, especially hiking through red rock country. I like searching for fossils. I studied Geology in college, I am fascinated by rocks & fossils. I am also a hair dresser. I have done hair for 15 years. That has been helpful with having a family of 6!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon becasue of the love that I have for our Savior Jesus Christ. I have prayed to know if this Church was the same Church that Jesus Christ established when He was on the earth. I received an answer to that prayer, that yes, this is His true Church. I have felt the Spirit time & time again remind me of this. Prior to this prayer, there was a time in my life when I did not live my life in acoordance to the Gospel principles. At this time I vividly remember this emptiness that I could never get rid of. It would temporarily go away as something new & exciting would take my thoughts off the empty feeling. But eventually, the emptiness came back as it always did. I desperately longed for PEACE. I decided to change my life around& find out for myself if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was true, if Joseph Smith was a true prophet, and if the Book of Mormon was true. I prayed & asked our Heavenly Father these very questions. I cried, begged & pleaded to know. I could no longer stand this empty feeling I had within. I patiently waited, then waited some more. I was expecting some miraculous experience. But what happened next may not seem like a miracle to others, but to me it was. I, for the first time in 2 years felt PEACE!! I was overjoyed! I changed my life around & did my best to follow the Savior from that moment forward. That prayer was 18 years ago. And that peace has stayed with me for 18 years. That peace is something that I do not take for granted. The Gospel message is TRUE! It has brought me lasting peace & happiness that can not be found elsewhere. And that is why I am a Mormon :)

How I live my faith

For me, living my faith is all about the basics. I pray every day, I try to make our Father in Heaven my best friend. I know that He knows me, He loves me and that He truly does hear me. I read from the scriptures every day. My goal is 10 minutes a day, it may not seem like much, but life can be a bit crazy at times. But if I make sure to get that 10 minutes in a day, I feel the Lord's strength is with me. I come to understand the Lord & His teachings. And usually the 10 minutes turns into 30 minutes, it can be hard to put them down! The scriptures just seem to come alive in my mind as I am reading. I feel like I come to personally know those who have written in the scriptures & I develop a love & appreciation for them & for the sacrafices they made. Another thing that helps me live my faith is to listen to the words of the Prophet and his Disciples. I download the General Confrence messages onto my IPod and I listen to them throughout my day. It helps me to feel the Spirit & understand the Lord's doctorine better. Plus I love hearing the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sing as well, it brings the Spirit into our home.
