Hi I'm Cheri

I'm a Mormon. I am also in the army and a student in Physical Therapy school. I'm proud to be a Mormon & would love to share!

About Me

I grew up in the church in a large traditional family. However, my life has been anything but traditional. I married young & divorced at age thirty with a strong sense that I am a daughter of Heavenly Father and the path He had prepared for me seemingly clear. But I found myself unsure of the direction to take with the added responsibility of my two daughters. Eduction soon became the the clear choice of independence and with that many new challenges to my strong Christian beliefs. Science classes challenged me to search the scriptures for history & teachings to help me reconcile, what most view, as opposing ends. Modern day educational teachings have only strengthened my testimony that Christ has woven a stitch in every fiber of my progression and that I can achieve very little without him. My experiences in the military have further brought me closer to Christ, both in faith and appreciation for the blessings I have received. In my service I have learned so many others have lived such different lives without the guidance and love of Christ. I have deeply appreciated the life I have been afforded and enjoy bringing that spark to others. I am grateful for the strength to parent my children while educating myself. I could not have done it alone, without the Savior. I am also grateful to have been blessed with the second chance at marriage with an honorable righteous man.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I choose to be and am happier when I am doing the right things. Because life's challenges are easier to overcome when I decide to let Christ be at my side making decisions with me. Because maintaining a strong testimony has never failed me. Because I want to be the best example for my children and wrap our family in the Savior's love. Because when I choose anything else I feel alone & empty without the Savior lighting the way for me.

How I live my faith

Keep Christ in my thoughts daily and try to follow his example in everything I do. Set aside family prayer & scripture time each evening. Attend church meetings and spiritually develop myself by meaningfully searching the scriptures.
