Hi I'm Collin

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am an athlete; I play basketball and have since I was in second grade. I have a very diverse group of friends of many different faiths. I love music, everything from hip hop and rap to classical and musicals. I love my savior and can't wait to serve my mission when I'm nineteen. I'm on my pathway to my eagle. I enjoy learning in school and in seminary. I am proud to call myself a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was born and raised in the church I choose to be Mormon. I've always had some doubt to whether the church was true and it always worried me if everything I was doing to return with our father in heaven was for nothing. This past summer I had an oppurtunity to go to a Mormon summer camp, especially for youth, and I have never felt the spirit as strong as I did there. But for some reason, while everyone around me was bearing there testimonies about how they knew without a doubt that the church was true, I couldn't help but think of all the "what if's": what if I was doing this all for nothing, what if I was wasting my life away, what if I the gospel wasn't true. So it was there I prayed for a confirmation. I prayed for a sign to help me know that there was a purpose to everything I was living for. That very night, my counselor bore his testimony to me of his confirmation story, not knowing of my doubts. The spirit I felt of my counselors testimony left me knowing, without a shadow of a doubt, that this church was true. I knew I was living for a purpose. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the one and only fully true church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through serving my fellow man. When you serve your fellow man you serve your God. I read the book of Mormon every night and attend a early morning scripture study called seminary at 6am, Monday through Friday. I attend the Mormon church every Sunday and go to a youth for our church
