Hi I'm Chad Williams

I grew up in Colorado in a family where we had several different religions, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to my elementary school sweetheart. We have been married for 18 years and have 4 kids. Our kids are really our hobby! It seems that we are like most parents who run kids from activity to activity but we love it. I am a Mortgage Banker for Key Bank and I am a partner in a fundraising company. My wife is a singer in an 80s band and she is awesome. My kids are all athletes. My three boys are great wrestlers and they are ranked very high in Colorado. All though they all love wrestling they are all very different and have other interests as well. My daughter is a cheerleader and loves to play volley ball. She is a social butterfly! She is so much fun! When I am not with my kids my passion is fly-fishing. It clears the cob webs and I love to be in nature and feel God's hand all around me. I love to hike to the high mountain lakes and fish there. I love the Rocky Mountain National Park.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a family that had one parent very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and one that professed to be Presbyterian. My mom would take us to the Mormon church each week. My dad liked what it taught us even though he was not a believer so her supported my mom. When I turned 19, as it is with most Mormon boys, I thought that maybe I should go become a missionary. I was not ready. I had not done what it took to make sure that I believed what it was that I would be teaching. Over a very short period of time I studied and prayed. I ready in the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I came to a very simple conclusion that the Book of Mormon would be the deciding factor for me. I knew that if this book was true then Joesph Smith was a true prophet. I ready, I pondered and I prayed. It was clear to me that this book was either Godly or diabolic. It had to be one or the other. It was easy... It taught me to love the Savior. I know that it could not have been from the devil. I know then, that this church is real! It was God's Church! Several years later I still have the same conviction! It is what it is, and that is true!

How I live my faith

I serve in the church as often as I can. I love the church programs! I have been in the Boy Scout program for many years. We go to church with glad hearts each week. We love to serve our fellow members when in need.
