Hi I'm Heather

I am a mother of 3. I am happily married for 11 years. I run a small photography business. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 3 beautiful kids and a wife to a wonderful husband for 11 years. I started a photography business a few years back and between being wife, mom and working from home I stay really busy. Being able to stay at home with my kids has always been important to me, so after I had my first child instead of going back to work, I went back to school and got my associates in photography. By the time I had completed school my 3rd child was on the way. Doing this has allowed me to work from my home and be home for my kids. Now, the older they get the more active they are with all of their extra activities so i spend a lot of time running here and there. Some days are worse than others, but we love our kids and that's why we do it. Nothing is more important than family!

Why I am a Mormon

I was fortunate to have been raised in an active LDS family. I was given a solid foundation to stand on for which I am grateful for. However, at some point in everyone's life, whether you're a member or not, you decide for yourself. I am a Mormon because I choose to be. Several years ago when I was in high school I was invited by a good friend of mine to go to one of her church events. It was a 3 day long event and my mother was hesitant to let me go. I am eternally grateful that she did allow me the opportunity to have the experiences that i did. It was at this event that my heart burned so strong with conviction that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was the true church here on the earth. I knew it with every ounce of my body. When I arrived back home I was spiritually and physically exhausted. I had several moments during this event in which something would be said and my whole body would burn inside and my heart would race and almost even ache. I wanted to scream out to everyone what I knew. Going to this event strengthened my testimony immensely. I know that the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church. I know that my family can be an eternal family if we but do what our Heavenly Father asks of us. And I know that we can live with him again. I know that through Joseph Smith, Jesus Christ restored his church to the earth. I am so grateful for this knowledge.

How I live my faith

I have always worked with the youth in my ward. For many years I worked with the young women ages 12-18. Currently though, I work with the primary children who range from 3 years old to 11. I serve as a member of the presidency and it is my job to organize the primary program, which is a program that the kids do towards the end of the year in sacrament meeting. All through the year the kids learn songs centered around a theme and during the program they sing those songs to their parents and each child will have a small speaking part explaining different things they learned through the year.
