Hi I'm Michelle

I have been called to serve as a missionary in Hungary, Budapest. I love service and traveling. I'm LDS. I'm a "Mormon".

About Me

I was born in Utah, but moved around a lot growing up. We first moved to Washington state where I went to middle school and highschool. Then after my freshman year of highschool, we uprooted again and moved cross country to Maryland. I finished highschool there, skipped my senior year and then I went to BYU. It was hard, but each move was eye-opening and gave me unique experiences. I love travling and learning about different cultures. In highschool we hosted a chinese exchange student who became a great friend to our family. After I graduated highschool, I went on a service expedition to Fiji where we built septic tanks in two little villages. I made great friends there as well, and we continue to be friends to this day. I also went to Iceland becuase I have Icelandic heritage. Part of the time I spent with distant relatives who I had not met before, who are now more of family and friends then just "relatives". I also served in Florido, Mexico building and fixing houses for those in need. I will also be serving a mission in Hungary Budapest until 2014. I've been blessed with some amazing expereinces in my life. Some of them extremely difficult, some of them extremely miraculous. I've learned that the best way to make friends and draw closer to God is through service. I've learned that every person, everywhere is truely a son/daughter of God. And I learned that I wouldn't be where I need to be today, if it wasn't for this gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

It's a continued process to keep a firm testimony of the church and of Jesus Christ, but I've worked on it my whole life. I've seen too many personal miracles, had too many answered prayers, and felt such an overwhelming amount of love from God that I could never deny it. I KNOW this church is true. I haven't always known that, it was something that came with time. I first KNEW that God loved me, then I KNEW he heard and answered my prayers and now I know that all that I have been taught my whole life is true. That's why I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I've had so many great opportunities in this church. One thing that I absolutely love doing is participating in any service project with the church. With members in my church I've been able to weed gardens, do family history research, sing at the hospital, deliver gifts, write letters, collect supplies and sooo much more. And now I get to go to Hungary to serve and teach the people there. I am incredibly excited.
