Hi I'm Tony

I love American history. I'm a pilot. I play drums in a band. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 5th generation native Arizonan and a 3rd generation graduate from my high school.I love the SW but have learned to love many other places in our great country as I have traveled quite a bit since getting married in 2007. My wife is a crafty business owner from Portland OR, who keeps me motivated and on the right path. I am a History major and I love volunteering for local political elections. I am a musician and own my own recording studio with my brother. I clean pools for a living, and I can't wait to have kids someday.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a wonderful family that just had a little problem being motivated to go to church. As a kid I went to church every once in a while with cousins or other family. My only brother served a mission when I was 15 and when he came home he was a great example to me. I was so impressed with how much his mission improved his life that I decided I wanted the same thing for me. When I was 18 I started working on my mission papers and going through the ordinances to prepare myself for that journey. It was not much time but I left for my mission shortly after my 19th birthday. I learned a lot about the gospel and about myself while on my mission. I leaned on my brothers testimony to get me there, but finally had my own testimony to keep me there. I learned that the Lord knows us all individually, and is mindful of our needs. I know that the restored gospel of Jesus Christ is on the earth today through modern living prophets because of those same reasons, he loves us and is mindful of us all.

How I live my faith

Living one's faith is more that just going to church every week. Living your faith is what you do outside of church. For me, spending time with the youth is the most rewarding. I really enjoy teaching the young men because when I was that age I was not so strong in the gospel. It is important that they know that their actions now affect the rest of their life. Even my actions will affect those who know me. I must live my life as an example of the teaching of Christ. I know that we can influence others by living our faith in all places.
