Hi I'm Konnie

I was born, raised, and still live in Arizona. I am a dental hygienist. I have 7 children, 4 grandkids, 4 dogs, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the fifth child of eight and I come from pioneer heritage on both sides. I was raised on a ranch and farm. I love to run the swather and cut hay, it smells so wonderful. I enjoy riding horses, but I can't afford my own. My family has horses when I get the urge to ride. I am married to a wonderful man whom I love and who is my best friend. I am a mother of 2 step-children and 5 children, three grandchildren and another one on the way. I have 4 dogs; 2 yorkies, a black schnauzer and a chocolate lab. I am a Registered Dental Hygienist with a BSDH degree. I work full time and enjoy what I do. I love to sew, quilt, cook, do family history and scrapbook. I play the piano and the saxophone and a little organ. I like movies and facebook. I am very meticulous at home, work and at play, probably a little OCD. I love life and am grateful for family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the gospel primarily by my mother, since my father was inactive most of my life. I grew up learning about the stories of Jesus and the apostles and the prophets. I always have felt so blessed to realize that I live on earth at a time when the gospel with modern day prophets are readily available to me. I am so blessed knowing this. I love the church with all of my heart and my testimony is strong. I believe that I am a child of God, that I was saved to come to earth at this time and in these days so that I could share my testimony with others and help them to realize what is truth. I know without a shadow of a doubt that the church is true and that it is the only complete church on the face of the earth. We have all the pieces that Christ placed here for us to have so that we can become like Him and learn in the proper manor about His church. This church was established in the same manor that he organzed it in His times. There are no empty questions about it. I have an extremely strong testimony of Joseph Smith in translating the Book of Mormon so that we could learn about the people in the ancient Americas too. I am extremely grateful for my membership in the chuch and I hold this blessing sacred. It is a privilege to be a member and to belong to this wonderful organization of brother and sisterhood. I love my family and they love me. I know that this church is true and that God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ stand at the head of it and direct it through our living prophets of today. I am truly blessed for this knowledge and would love to share it with you.

How I live my faith

I participate in my church by directing the choir. We preform at least one time a month and it is fun to choose hymns and songs to sing in church. I also play the organ sometimes as a fill in and I play the piano there too. On Saturday mornings the family goes early and helps to clean the building. My favorite area to clean is the chapel, especially the choir loft. I have taught children, and served in other areas too but my favorite is teaching the children music. I have a love for music, especially hymns and reverent music. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir is my favorite. I have always been a "visiting teacher" and go and deliver a monthly message to a few women. I am also there to see how their lives are, if there is anything they need or that I can help them with that month. It is constant reminder that we should serve one another as Christ did when he walked on this earth. I try to help out whenever someone is needed if I know there is a part for me to fill. I am a "get in and do it" person and am not afraid to help others. I love life, I love my family, I love my country, and I especially love my religion. I would be lost without it.
