Hi I'm Ben

Hey! I'm from Southern California, gun owner, aspiring future doctor, I was home schooled and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I went to school for 2 years in elementary school until my parents decided they wanted to home-school me and my siblings. Graduated with 2 associates degrees before serving a mission for the church at age 19 and am now perusing my bachelors degree in human biology at BYU-I. When i was younger I used to breed dogs for money, worked all sorts of construction jobs, and now annoy people door to door selling pest control! Let me know if you need any, but seriously. haha. I love to hike, camp, off-road, shoot, explore the outdoors, spend time with friends contemplating the mysteries of life, or just be a random as we can. Besides that I love being able to spend time with my family and friends anytime.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church since i was 8, and before that I always attended church with my family. I was lucky enough to be born into a family that has been members for generations. There came a time in my life where I needed to make the decision for myself whither I was going to follow the example of Jesus Christ or not. I struggled with this decision for a while before realizing what an amazing blessing the gospel has been in my life and in the life of my family. So I chose to live the gospel and implement its doctrines and teachings into my life with the help of my amazing friends that have helped me so much. Since I made this decision, life has still continued to have its challenges but through the comfort that comes through the gospel I truly have felt the influence and love of my heavenly father in every aspect of my life. I am so thankful for what a blessing it is to know that no matter what happens in this life, I have a loving father in heaven that is looking out for me and knows how to help me personally. It brings me such a great feeling of comfort to know that after this life I will be able to live with my loved ones for eternity and that this life is not the end. One of the biggest reasons I am served my mission is because of the love and support that I have felt in my life through living the principles of the gospel. Seeing what effect it has had on me, I want to be able to go forth and share that with my brothers and sisters, for both my mission and now. When I find a good sushi restaurant, I tell anyone because it makes me so happy. Well... the gospel is definitely a lot better than sushi and I should be just as ecstatic about the gospel that has blessed me so much more than cold cut fish.

How I live my faith

I earnestly try to live my faith in everything that I do, God gave me this life and I can't take credit for any of it. I live my faith by studying and applying the principles and doctrine I learn everyday, through the various paths the world has for us, to the simple things like reading the Book of Mormon and studying the doctrines of the church.
