Hi I'm Amy.

I love clouds, spearfishing, and when people leave messages on my voicemail so I know why they called. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

What's there to know? I'm a 22 year old "girl-at-heart" who loves sleep more than food and jumps off 70ft. cliffs for fun.

Why I am a Mormon

Just because I've been a member all my life doesn't mean that I haven't seriously questioned my beliefs. I went to several churches to see if I was missing something, but, I found that none could compare to what I'd already been taught. The LDS church teaches us to seek truth, wherever it is, however it comes, because God is a God of truth. It also teaches us to seek after things that are "...lovely, virtuous, and of good report." Because of the plain and simple truths the church teaches me and because it encourages exploring, learning, growing and open-mindedness, I have chosen to remain a Mormon... forever.

How I live my faith

C.S. Lewis says through his character Screwtape in "The Screwtape Letters" that "the Future... (is) something which everyone reaches at the rate of sixty minutes an hour, whatever he does, whoever he is," (p.259 "The Complete C.S.Lewis Signature Classics "). I have "faith" that in the future, I will be able to live with God again. So, to live my faith means that every moment I am trying to be more perfect, more Christlike, than the last. It is a way of life to turn the nature of a mere mortal being into one that is Godly, and it is a battle that does not start and end on Sunday alone.
