Hi I'm Glen

I'm a Landscape Architect, a husband, a father, a grandfather, and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

About Me

I live in Colorado and enjoy the beauty of the natural changing seasons. My work involves the design of recreation facilities for the National Forests of our Country. Designing recreation opportunities for everyone, including the disabled, has given me an appreciation of how small things can bring great joy to those accessing our Nation's National Forests.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in Jesus Christ and his teachings, and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints embodies the doctrine that he has given to the world. The doctrine provides a solid foundation for life, and includes a positive outlook on all of the experiences we will encounter in life. I believe that families can be together forever and that we have an unlimited potential to do good in the constantly changing world that we live in. Being a Mormon means living the doctrines taught within the Bible and Book of Mormon. For each testify of Jesus Christ and his desire for the betterment of all mankind. When it comes to life, people think that I am funny as a Mormon to believe that every day is a great day of life. Living each day to realize our potential and being positive about life is what being a Mormon is all about. It is said that “the mind is made of what it feeds upon”, so feeding my mind on the positive thoughts, including the teachings taught within the Book of Mormon has made all the difference in understanding life. When I was a young boy, I was run over by a car. The experience taught me that there is much more to life than one would expect, and the same is true from reading the Book of Mormon and applying its teachings. Lessons learned and applied, can bring great blessings when we learn how to face the challenges of our lives.

How I live my faith

I apply my faith one step at a time living day to day in a community that provides wonderful opportunities to give selfless service to others. I have constructed trails in parks, painted homes for those who could not paint and helped in more ways than one could imagine. I have also served my country in the Navy, and I work in my church by helping people find jobs in a challenging economy. I am working to be the best that I can be within my realm of influence. And who can tell as a father to my loving family, which seeds planted will grow into large oak trees having a positive influence in the world that surrounds us.
