Hi I'm Robbi

I'm a mother of six and wife of a really good man. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a really small town in one of the most beautiful places on earth at the base of the Teton Mountains. I had a very happy childhood with parents that cared deeply about me and my sisters and about those around us in our community. They were excellent examples of service and selflessness. My dad was a teacher and my mom was a nurse. They encouraged us to be educated and to do our best. I enjoyed school. I attended college and was active on the dance teams. I was able to travel to China and Japan while dancing. I was also able to serve a mission in Portugal, which I am so grateful for. It was a wonderful and challenging experience. It helped make me who I am. After my mission, I dated and married my husband of almost 16 years. We lived briefly in both New York and Utah, and now love living in Texas. We have 6 fantasic children. We love and enjoy them and our time together. There's nothing like a good family movie night eating break and bake cookies!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a testimony that I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ. I have prayed many times and read and studied the scriptures, the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I have felt the Holy Ghost testify to me through sweet, peaceful feelings that the Book of Mormon is true. It testifies of Jesus Christ and his mission to save us. Prophets in the Bible and the Book of Mormon have told us of His teachings and life. Heavenly Father has restored the church again to the earth through a prophet, Joseph Smith, in the latter-days. I'm so grateful that we have a prophet again on the earth, that the Lord continues to communicate with us. Not only do I have faith that these things are true, but it really makes sense to me. Being a Mormon takes a lot of time and commitment. It is a way of life. I have always been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, so I was raised living the standards of the church. I have thought before of how difficult it might be to change if I hadn't, but I do know that it would be worth it. My life is what it is because of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am happy. I know why I'm here on the earth. I know my roll as a wife and mom and why it is so important. I know that Heavenly Father loves me and each of us. He compassionately watches over us and generously blesses us. I also know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. How grateful I am to know that!

How I live my faith

I'm trying to teach my kids to respect and love and serve those around us. I really do believe that we are all children of God. We can't be happy without each other. Sometimes, as a family, we practice introducing ourselves to others or being a good friend or example. I can't see my kids everyday at school, but I hope it helps them make a difference. I know it helps me remember to try. I also work with a youth group of girls, trying to help them to make and achieve productive and positive goals. We have a lot of fun. I really enjoy all of the youth that I get to be around. Another big part of my life is my husband. He works hard, he is a concerned and involved parent, and he spends a lot of time volunteering at church. The older I'm getting the more I realize how important our friendship and relationship is, along with my support of him. He is such an important part of my life and happiness. I know that it is important to Heavenly Father that we have a good marriage and work together as a team so that we can be happy, have a happy family and do the work Heavenly Father wants us to do. It's nice to know that a fun date with my husband is exactly what the Lord would have me do on a Saturday night.
