Hi I'm John

I'm a husband to a wonderful wife of eighteen years and a father to three beautiful children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I currently live in the state of Washington with my wife and three beautiful children. I work full-time as an account manager in the aerospace industry and recently earned an MBA from a local university.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents are "converts" to the church, which means that they were both members of a different religion prior to joining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Consequently, I was "born in the church", which means that I've been a member my entire life. However, when it was time to decide whether I would serve a two-year mission for the church, I decided that I needed to know for myself that the church is true. I knew that the only way I would know for sure was to study The Book of Mormon and then pray to receive an answer from God of its truth. If the Book of Mormon was true, then Joseph Smith was indeed a prophet of God and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. After I finished reading The Book of Mormon and praying with real intent to ask if it is true, I felt the overwhelming peace that comes from The Holy Ghost, confirming the truthfulness of The Book of Mormon and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This answer from God has been the foundation upon which I have built my life and which gives me true joy and happiness.

How I live my faith

As a member of the church, I have served in various volunteer capacities and have enjoyed learning from each assignment. I feel closer to my Savior when I serve others as He would. I strive each and every day to live my life according to the teachings of Jesus Christ and to follow His commandments. I have found that living Christ's teachings brings peace and happiness. Doing so also helps me become a better husband and father. I strive to exemplify honesty and integrity in everything I do so I can be an example to others of Christ's teachings.
